Kiparsko-fotografski ciklus, ki ga je Metka Jerič s prefinjenim občutkom estetike oblikovala iz tanke aluminijaste žice, se predstavlja v dovršeni stilizaciji portretov oseb kot tudi živali: ptic, rib, koze. Preseneča nas s svojo originalno formo, ki jo je uspešno izpeljala iz žice v aktualno izoblikovane kompozicije.

 

Plastike učinkujejo intimno. Prvinska likovna drznost pritegne oko še tako bežnega opazovalca. Žične skulpturice so njen izviren likovni izraz, ki opazovalca nagovarjajo o refleksiji realnega biološko-fizičnega obstoja z intimo v novo upodobljenih formah. Prijetno je opazovati spretne pregibe žice, s katerimi je razkrila njihove notranje podobe z odprtimi prostori, ki tridimenzionalni plastiki dajejo dodaten šarm in umetniški naboj.

 

Miniaturni plastiki je pustila zračnost, tako da z lahkoto vidimo skozi njih iz različnih zornih kotov. Skulpturice učinkujejo enostavno, vendar nagovarjajo z izjemno inteligenco in prijetno vibracijo. Najlepše se je z njimi vizualno poigrati in tako vzpostaviti oseben dialog. Pri plastikah je zanimivo opazovati združitev žice in sence v novih podobah, ki dajejo občutek prabitnosti in nagovarjajo o smislu bivanja v času in prostoru.

 

Z osvetlitvijo žičnih plastik je obudila novo likovno dimenzijo v miniaturnem kiparstvu. Tako je združila trdno otipljivo likovno formo, osvetljeno s soncem ali umetnim virom svetlobe s subtilnimi sencami žice v enovite fotografske kompozicije raznolikih orientacijskih kotov. Izjemen občutek usklajenosti ukrivljene žice in njene sence je prenesla na črnobelo fotografijo in tako dodala še višjo umetniško raven simbioze kiparstva in fotografije.

 

Z združevanjem trdnega in fluidnega - žice in sence - v subtilne fotokompozicije je avtorici uspelo ustvariti zaključen edinstven umetniški ciklus.

The photographs act flat and extraordinary refine in the basic visual elements.

 

 

The sculpture-photograph opus, which has been designed by the author, with subtle feeling for aesthetics, from thin aluminium wire, represents perfect stylization of human portraits, as well as animals: birds, fish, mouse, and goat. The author surprises with the original shapes, wangled from the wire into actual designed compositions.

 

The sculptures have an intimate effect. Primal fine art audacity attracts even a perfunctory observer. The wire sculptures are author's original artistic expression, which addresses an observer with reflexion of real biological and physical existence with innermost feelings in new-designed shapes. It is pleasurable to observe skilful folds of wire, which unveils sculptures inside images with open spaces what gives to the 3D statuary additional charm and artistic cartridge. The author has left airiness in the sculptures, which enables observing through them from different points of view. The sculptures look simple but in the same time they address us with extreme intelligence and pleasant vibration. It is interesting to play visual with them and observe merging of wire and its shadow into new images, which associate us with the Prehistory.

 

The author with the original plastics addresses us with the sense of residence in time and space.

By enlightening the wire sculptures, the author has awoken a new creating dimension in the miniature plastic. She has united solid tangible fine art form, brightened with sun or artificial light, with subtle shadows of wires into homogeneous photograph composition of diverse orientation angles.

 

She has transferred an exceptional sense of consistency between the bended wire and its shadows on the black/white photography, and so added a higher level of symbiosis between the sculptures and the photography. The pictures effect as new images of people and animals in staying abreast.

 

By uniting the solid and fluid - wires and shadows - the author has managed to create a unique artistic opus.
